cmkelly wrote:Chris, I'm glad you only suffered "moderate injury." When is a broken femur moderate?

As a parent of a son taking driver's ed I won't ask what you were doing out at 2:35 a.m. but will only say I'm glad you're alright. Let's find you a vert soon and get you back in the saddle again.

Peace, cmk
apparently "moderate" means breaking some of the hardest bones in your body then going though excruciating surgery and rehabilitation. i was only out so late because i went cosmic bowling with some friends after work. trust me, i'm quite familiar and experienced with driving ate at night. drunk drivers coming over a blind hill completely in my lane at 60+ mph tend to throw anyone for a loop.

and i'm really torn on what t look for now. Between another vert with some upgrades already down, or a TTZ32, or maybe even a Z3....i dunno. i must concentrate on the pain and recovery for now

well loki, i'm glad to see you're well enough to type. they must not have you on strong enough dope because you made a completely coherent and literate post. man, if i broke my femur, i wouldn't even want to be able to read...

anyways, you need to NOT concnentrate on the pain and start thinking about your car again... it's a great escape from the worries of life. that's probably why 99% of us are even here.

Man... what's going on here? Just came back from vacation and saw this thread. Loki posted, so I'd think he's okay. Forget about the car now and make sure to recover 100%. Glad to hear that surgery went well. I'll try to send you something that will keep you busy and entertained. Eikon, please email me his mailing address. You have my email address. jameblonde's, nissanconvert's and now loki's car is gone... Guys, be careful out there.

THANK YOU GUYS!!! i can't believe the support i got from people i've never seen face to face love the sweater, i wore it to the car show they had down at the rehab center last sunday (nothing very nice).

anywho, i'm in rehab, and it SUCKS SUCK SUCKS. I absolutely cannot stand not being able to walk, or to use the bathroom properly, or bathe myself......HATE IT! I can't wait to go home but I have no idea when they will let me go. At least i have a laptop and dial up now. They blocked myspace though, so I have to google a wrkaround for that.

THANK YOU GUYS! Much love, and here's to finding a new 240 Vert!!

I'm pretty impressed with how that car held up! I know you're in the hospital with some pretty major injuries... but it could have been much worse! I wonder how some of the other 'verts on the market would have held up? Needless to say, I'm pretty impressed and I do feel a little better about my car.
