NEW UPDATE:
I just made a verbal purchase of that 96 2wd. I talked him down from $1200 to $800. After listing out everything I found it needed so far the total price including the truck comes to $1300, once again that's truck and parts. Labor will be performed myself except for the windshield which I am not qualified to do.
It's a 96 w/ 138k, 5spd, working AC...It needs an IACV valve, front O2 sensor, windshield, tie rods and centerlink, fuel sending unit and belts. It has new tires, new brakes, one new torsion bar (more about that in a minute) and new shocks. The interior is clean. The radio is shot but I have one sitting in my toolbox that'll fit. Regarding the torsion bar, the mechanic who installed it indexed it wrong so it's at the end of it's adjustment. It has some rust but the frame is clean, it's a little ugly in the front but I have a lot of parts to fix it up enough to drive it. And I now have a use for my extra set of bucket seats! It'll be like driving my green truck all year round.
I am putting the down payment tomorrow night and cutting a check for the rest. My bank said rough trade-in value comes in at over $2000, I stole it at $800 needing a little work.
How'd I do?

Now for an ironic story, I purchased a bunch of 720 parts from the same guy 10 years ago when I still owned my Dat 720.
