You know, that saying "don't ask", will get someone to ask, right?

So, uhm... HOW?

The answer is yes... it was making a very loud knocking sound.... And well... long story short.... i was off roading and i put a hole in the oil pan and all the oil drained out with out me knowing... the oil light never came on so i had no idea... lesson learned here.... always check your oil levels... as far as off roading, the versa does an amazing job. You may be thinking "well it apparently does not do a good enough job if you put a hole in your oil pan"... However it was doing a certain activity that put the hole in it, not just the off roading part. And by the way im disappointed that i still have not gotten a "good luck Chris".... its not very assuring....

funny story... ive done this also... but not in my versa... it was a couple of years ago when i had a 1.8t jetta... i was messing around in a field by my work and i hit a little jump and the car bottomed out and then the oil light came on... i got out of my car, and to my surprise oil was just pouring out (just like at work, i service oil wells) as soon as i saw oil i called my cousin, she worked at AAA... so i got it towed to my uncles house, took the oil pan off, had a friend weld it and bam... more shananagans.... i beat the living crap out of that car.... so good luck chris.... hope all goes well....

Ok well as i have promised here are some photos.... i know everything does kind of look like a mess but i know where everything is and im almost done with this monster...

BTW: Does anyone know where I can buy a clutch for this car other then at the dealer and paying $160 for it... im on a very very tight budget and im trying to save as much money as I can.. But i figure after looking at my clutch i might as well replace it now while its out rather than having to take it all apart again a few months down the line... Thank you everyone!!!!

Yes, that would appear to be the 'front' timming cover.
