Simple enough, whatever mods are on your wish list for your Pathy/QX4, that you would like to do but can't right now for whatever reason.

For my 01 QX4:

Old Man Emu lift coilsKYB GR2 strutsKYB Gas-A-Just or Old Man Emu shocks, can't decide. Brush guardRoof basket ---> remove spare tire and carrierNew exhaust system- something throaty but not loud or obnoxious265/70R17 Michelin ATX A/T 2 tires- would that size fit stock, after the lift, or neither? I plan on keeping the stock wheels.Supersliders Either a K&N cold air intake or a snorkel, but snorkels look rather goofy.Dynomat

Why not a couple GF's? we have back seats for crying out loud!!

For real though...

- Finish making my Pulley sets- Install big brake kit from my IS300- Install 18" TE37 w/ +0 offset for that concaved look- Drop it with Custom suspension...Possibly Zeal if I ever make my way to there headquarters- Install JDM spoiler- Buy a TIg welder so I can make my own exhaust using a Thermal R&D muffler and some clean tips- move A/C controls on dash lower, and mold in a Double Din Kenwood head unit with Navi and the works, -Install Focal 165K2P speakers front and rear- Install JL flat sub, molded in rear compartment for that stealth look- Do a 2001+ QX4 front end conversion, with painted black headlight shrouds- install and modify OMR front grill for JDM pathy...I don't think I've shown you guys pics of it yet- Repaint new front end- Dynomat areas needed- I think at this point I'll be happy, unless I feel the need to build a turbo kit.

So would 265/70-17 (31.6") fit stock without any trimming?

Next on my list is definitely an electric fan conversion. I want to get something like two 12" fans (don't know radiator dimensions, so maybe 12" will or wont fit).

Has anybody on NICO done an electric fan conversion? I really want to see some pics and see if electric fans provide sufficient cooling.

Great thread Kyoo

1. Rims and Tires (rims should be done in 2 weeks)2. Dynamat the floor(waiting on supplier to find bulk pack for me)3. "Top Secret" Interior Lighting Design4. Dual Exhaust should be done Friday6. 6x Hella Rallye 4000 Series CELIS Driving Lights7. Rock Sliders(maybe)8. Full LED Conversion of the tail lights and front turning marker.9. New D2R Headlamps10. Maybe an HID conversion for the fogs.

I'm sure if I was sitting in the Q I would find 10 more things that need to be fixed.

Your 265/70-17's will rub, at least on full lock in reverse. Mine just hint of rubbing at full lock in reverse and they are 245/70-17. I also have the OME springs. Just a hint, be sure you are getting the coils you want. Some suppliers list Medium as Heavy and Light as Medium. Get the product number from OME and then confirm with whomever you buy from. Those mods sound great, enjoy.

You have the OME lift (1.75" right?) and you're rubbing with 30.5" tires? I don't see how that's possible, as stock (245/65-17) is 29.5", and you add 1.75" lift. In theory you should have an extra .75" of space after putting 1" more rubber on. Forgive me if I'm missing something, which I probably am.

it seems odd to me too, My stock 17's seem to have plenty of room in there. thats why I had thought 265/65/18's would fit without a lift.

Maybe I should have said, that based on my experience with 245/70-17's, the 265's will likely rub, at least a little on full lock.

I did not get a constant 1.75" inches of lift from the OME coils. Maybe more at first, but they settle quickly. I use a heavy middle skid plate though. Coil lift heights are hugely estimated, and vary based on coil age and other equipment.

Mine is not an issue of general clearance, which is ample even at full articulation on trails. There is just one piece of plastic at the rear of the fender well on the right side that just barely rubs in reverse at full lock. I could probably trim it down, but it happens so rarely that I didn't even realize it for a a few months. Strange as it seems, it happens. That is why I suspect that you will get rubbing with 265's.

Only real way to tell is to ask someone who has tried it. Is there anyone with 265/70-17's who can chime in here?

I went to the garage at lunch and I need to correct some of what I said earlier. The 245/70-17 actually rubs at full lock, left turn reverse, on the alumimum "mud flap," not the plastic in the wheel well. The flap is removable and then I don't see much potential for rubbing for a good distance after that. Sorry for the confusion.

Other issue to be aware of with 265's is rubbing the strut with stock wheels. I have seen 255's fit fine, though. Whatever you choose, looking forward to your post-photos.

Thanks. Yeah, I took my running boards off, which also held the mud flaps. I'm not sure if the Q mud flaps are the same design and placement as Paths.Yeah, I was kinda hesitantly hoping the 265/70 would fit with minimal rubbing. 255 is probably the route I would go. But that's WAY down the road. I don't have the funds right now.
