hell ive heard the NA high comp version is good for like close to 400 rwhp, i think id be alright without boost in that case

havent seen proof though cause i dont know that anyone crazy enough has bought the whole VQ assembly yet...i do know of one person running an entire cosworth EJ25 setup in an STI but that doesnt prove much

Thats nice and all but I wonder how much it would cost to have your engine rebuilt with higher compression and a increase in bore & stroke?

Got to be less then 12k

Yeah, me too, I'm selling some furniture for $12,000 if anyone's interested

What kind of gains would you expect HP wise? 400hp seems high for NA, but reving to 10.5K is pretty sick.

I would die

Beano:

I have been daydreaming for months and weaks about one day having a supercharge in my high compression engine. Now, with the link you present, I am blinded by my insane drive and prayer to one day have a turbo installed in my engine with the corsworth engine. That would be a day of joy for me.

First thought is WOW that's a BUNCH of $$$ for an engine!!!

However, I do know a guy that had a Griggs Racing engine put in his 67 Chevelle and it cost $15K....NA with 700 HP. Plus, he had to give up the 396 that came in the Chevelle. And, I will be getting another Lottery ticket today!

Wow, it would be nice to play arond with that for sure...

And then the transmission, and then.... and then...

You'd never be able to stop! There would always be a weak link until you rebuild the entire vehicle! But, oh how much fun that would entail....

Only if you mix them. It will be more valuable.

Been thinking about this, and you know, it wouldn't be too hard to get a custom 3 angle valve job, and a set of upgraded cams, etc... it might run you under 5k.
