Hi I'm new here I did a search and found a few threads about the topic but never a solution, so I've spent "all" day trying to figure out how to make it work , I thought about shimming til oil jets but that just means they would crash with the crankshaft , at least in my case, so if I could angle it abit it wouldnt crash but there is a stopper on the oil jet, (those of you who have seen one probaly know what i mean) that supposed to prevent the jet from turning when you tighten it (?) and that also prevents me from angleing it, what if I grinded it down or something would that be "safe" ? give me your thoughts or other ideas that might work , im desperate , theres one year since last time I felt the power of the CA :frown:

Just grind the reliefs into the skirt of the pistons. It shouldn't screw-up the balance, but makes sure you don't leave jagged edges on the pistons or you'll be sorry.

I marked the spot where the oil jet hits the piston , random pic of a wiseco piston not mine. there is a relief in the skirts of the piston.

Didn't realize they hit on the inside of the pistons. I had some wiseco pistons made for my CA back in 1999 and had to have the squirter reliefs made, but it was only on the skirt. Before I got the reliefs cut, I put them in thinking everything was kosher, rotated the engine and watched four little squirter nozzles fall out of my motor . I still don't understand why they are having fitment issues because they kept my piston and then all of a sudden started mass producing pistons for the CA. Becareful with the dremel and you should be fine. Oh yeah, be sure ot put them in backwards either.

This is the reason i never bought wiseco pistons, they supposedly fixed this problem but everywhere i asked said the pistons need oil squirter notches cut out.

CP > Wiseco

Yes I'm kicking myself for being cheap and choosing wiseco over CP , but anyway fixed the problem today so one step closer to driving it again
