Hey guys, Ive been trying to figure out how to wire my Z32 MAF pigtail to my RB25 Neo harness. All of the S1 and S2 wiring diagrams ive seen show 4 wires on the RB harness for the maf, and my connector only has 3 wires.

I dont know if something has been changed farther up in the harness, because there are two wires in a shielded insulation, and one wire separate all taped up together with electrical tape. Are both grounds tied together maybe? and the other two wires are just the 12v + and the Signal + ?

I wish i took some pics, ill have to update this thread when i do. I just thought that Carl H might now how to help, since he did the wiring harness. he may know what colors go where. The connector to the stock maf has been spliced onto an extension wire which i had just talked about in the above paragraph. Makes things a little confusing.

-Thanks everyone,John.

looks good but dont wire the two grounds together...gets noise into the signal, better to wire in the thick black wire (non sheilded) to the chassis as per stock wiring on the z32.

Alright. but which ground do i wire to chasis? the signal ground, or the 12v ground. i dont think i have a thick black wire. all my wires are the same size except for the white on on the end thats thicker

heres a pic i found of someone elses wiring diagram. My harness connector only has 3 pins though. this is just for reference.

Ok so im really confused now. the wires change colors too many times and im lost. does anyone know the 3-PIN connector wire identification for the maf? the original harness was extended with three wires (black with white stripe, blue with white stripe, and blue with black stripe) from the main harness to the maf connector. which one wire is black with white stripe, one is orange, and the other is blue i believe. Im just really lost and i need to figure out how to go from the 4 wires on the Z32 maf to the three wires on the Neo maf.

Thanks. heres some pics too

john, i dont remember how i extended your maf wire but it was with sheilded wire...wire colours dont matter in the end what matters is what they are connected to.on the neo harness from the ecu before the extention the colours are b/w for power, w/l for signal ground and o/l for signal.

The maf wiring in the r34 FSM should tell you the info you need.
