Hi
I bought a front clip from japan that apparently already had been swapped, It was an r33 chassis with a neo awd engine mated to a rb20det gear box. going off of some ecu pinouts i realized that my ecu might not be what i think it is, can anyone out there identify or confirm the computer as a stagea ecu?

it has written on it:

TM in big black letters, underneath which is written:
[23710 0V800]
[A56-K43 L04] [3x26]

I found an auto stagea pinout with wire colors and none of the wire colors would match up. also, i have a r34 and a stagea pinout both of which are saying that pin 31 is the ignition power supply. on my ecu there is a hole there, doesnt look like anything was ever there.

thanks

i believe it is gray. pin 31 is completely missing, tried to start the car today and nothing, no spark. should i just try and put my own pin in there or something? I dont wanna give power to it unless i know for sure it is ignition power

stagea rb25det manual ecu for sure. i dont have the stagea schematics but will look and see if they are different than r34. Might be able to help.

much appreciated, im getting very close to starting it, i know im only a few wires away.
mainly none of my engine ancillaries are on, as in cas, maf, 02, aac, etc
is there a common 12v feed to these?
in addition i bypassed the ignition relay and gave the coils a switched 12v, how do i get the ecu to trigger the coils?

also fuel injectors are clicking, they have power, and i think i can smell fuel in the cylinders (not sure, will confirm)

there is a common brown wire that feeds power to the o2, aac, vvt. It runs from each of the sensors and bundles all together on the firewall side of the ecu grommet. The ecu will trigger the coils if you feed power to the brown 6 pin relay properly. The white/green wire and the white/black wires on that relay need fused 12v battery power. If you look at the pins off of that relay its pin 1,3,6 that get the battery positive. The output from pin 7 of the relay feeds power to the cas and MAF.

so that means pin 2 off the relay goes to the ecu? any idea what pin/color of wire?
what about the blue ignition relay, how does that get wired up,

sorry for the very basic questions, im at my wits end with the wiring, and if you could do this step by step, i and future neo owners would really appreciate it.

ok so new update. Having gone over the wiring with a friend who knows how to read the wiring schematic pretty well, we got some of the wiring figured out.

We are hung up on the fact that the ignitors arent firing due to no 12v switched to them, I took a wire and gave one of the ignitors a quick 12v externally and they immediately fired while cranking, meaning they are getting a signal from the ecu to fire, just no 12v.

in addition, i dont think my injectors are pulsing as there isnt any fuel (maybe i hooked up the fuel lines wrong?)

does the feed go to the top line, and the return on the bottom (in reference to the 2 ports coming from the front left side of the engine, near the coolant hose)

been working on it like mad, had a friend who can read a wiring diagram really well come by and help me wire the 6 pin relay correctly. I am a little stuck now though, on the diagram it seems pin 67 and 72 feed 12v to both the MAF and CAS. now ive got 12v on the maf plug, but nothing on the CAS. further, when i jumper pin 2 on the cas plug, with direct 12v from a small battery and try and crank: the ignitors fire, and i believe i hear the injectors clicking so that means their getting signal from the cas to the ecu and the ecu is sending the signal to fire. I just cant figure out why i dont have power at the cas plug

I dont have power at the o2 sensor either. If I read correctly, you said the brown wire on the 6 pin relay powered up all the ancilliaries? I have no idea whats going on.

any ideas?

The brown wire doesnt goto the 6 pin relay. I always rip all the junk out of my harnesses so i dont pay attention to which plug it attaches to. If you use your meter and beep the wire out it is a brown wire hanging out on the ecu side. if you cut back the tape you will see where the 02 power (brown) and all of the rest of the aux powers (brown) meet into one brown wire. That wire doesnt goto the brown 6 pin relay nor the ecu. it will come off one of the other relays or the f3 plug. I always use the 240sx's wire to power the o2 and aux powers. you will find it on the chassis plugs form the 240sx. my email is [email protected] if you need to get ahold of me quicker. Thanks for those brackets by the way.

Dustin
