wiring these stupid gauges?

ok so when i bought my car there were these 2 gauges. oil temp and water temp. neither of them were hooked up except the blue light for them came on, they are not in good shape at all, but idc..id rather have them work then just have them sit there..so if anyone could help me figure out how to hook them up that woudl be great and i tried searching but found nothin..i thoguht the oil temp sensor was on the right side of the block but idk

Do they even have sensors connected to a coolant hose and oil pan?

im not sure, ill have to look into it more tomorrow, i tried tracing the wires from where they go through the fire wall and the go over to the left side of the motor and down, and i dont think the temp gauge on my cluster works either..could it be a bad sensor?

If the previous owner put them on just for show, and didn't hook up the sensors, then the gauges won't move.

Trace the wires further, see if they lead to sensors.
