Wiring the Apexi Rev/speed meter

I have the new device. And I can't seem to wire it correctly. I mean the booklet is no help. It has like the fairlady and the silvia and 180sx ecu but not the 240sx. I have a 1990 240sx. And I can't get the wiring for it. Could someone help.I got it powered but when I start the car it dies out. if the rpm wire is plugged where it says in the diagram. There are like 15 ecu's that look the same. And I think I got the wrong one. Can someone help. I used the "n2-a" diagram in the apexi book
