Hey,I was wondering if anybody else does wiring services for a S13 SR20DET into a S14 chassis??? I called HT and spoke w/Jeff and they said that they no longer do wiring service at all. I just email Daunt, but I'm not sure on when he'll reply (I'm not flaming him!!!). I looked on phase2, but they are a bit pricey as they are charging $350, where HT used to only charge (I think) $200-250. I also checked Motorex, but all they have are a bunch of Skyline stuff. Any other suggestions????? Thanks in advance!!!

HT Wiring Service for S14 was 300-350 IIRC.

You are going to pay more for that S14 harness because of the accessory subharness.

/me hugs his S13

Phase2 is the best bet now that HT is not doing them. The price is fair, and they have even figured out some of the AC wiring with certain swaps. If you are installing the engine yourself, then you are already saving labor money, why not splurge a little and make the swap even easier. Not like you can get some great performance part for $350.

There is a guy on ebay who does wiring harnesses for $100. He has great feedback. I might use him.

here is the quote from the scc article

"All our harness work was left in the capable hands of Ralph Kenyon, the Northern California Silvia enthusiast who guided us through most of this swap. He unwrapped most of the harness, laid it out on a board that already had the proper wire lengths marked out on it, started cutting and lengthening wires appropriately. Having done this harness conversion enough times to justify making the board, he has also salvaged enough wires from other harnesses that he was able to lengthen the wires using the exact same wire. Unless you want to send your harness to him, you'll have to use the engine compartment as your board. (Kenyon will convert JDM Silvia harnesses for a fee; his e-mail address is [email protected].)"

Movingviolation240, I wasn't tryin to flame you or anything, sorry about the misunderstanding. The way I translated your first post was that you wanted me to make you an offer and then send my harness without knowing a definate price. So if I sent it to you without knowing all the info, I MIGHT (I said might) get screwed because you could turn around and sell my harness (not saying that you would though). So sorry about the misunderstanding. I will send the harness once a price is set and arrangements are made. So sorry for the misunderstanding Paul!!!!

I was asking you to make me an offer on the harness service. I know all the shops are like 300ish but I wanted to know what you thought was fair. I need to make my money on it (fair is fair after all) but I dont' want to be screwing anybody either.

slw240sx, and Movingviolation, could both of you tell how many swaps or something like that, to show your experience. I'm very interested in having one of you all do the wiring. Thanks

Hey Movingviolation, how about $250? It's not anytime soon, but I just wanna get everything straightened out and planned before jumping into anything. More than likely in a month or so because I just bought a new house and I gotta save a bit. Let me know what you think. Email me at [email protected]. Thanks!!!
