Ok guys, dont flame, I've done the research. But, I got a whole clip, and I'm not sure what part of the harness to pull out and use. It seems like everyone gets motor sets and harness's with em. I've been trying to work with the srswap.com install, but its too vauge. If anyone has some insight on my situation, I'd really appreciate it.

i'm pretty sure you just want the engine harness. this includes from the ecu to the other side of the fire wall and up to the fuse box thingy. i'm pretty sure you can hook up the harness to the stock USDM fuse/relay box thing. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

You need ALL of you CA harness and a few parts of your KA harness.

From the KA harness you will need, the 2 plugs that go behind the pass. side headlights. Cut those plugs off along with enough wire to splice them into the CA harness OR remove the plugs by unpinning them and repinning them to the CA harness. There will be 2 wires you will have to splice together though.

You will also need the plug that goes up into the dash, same plug that comes off the big ecu plug. Cut that plug off along with enough wire to splice into the CA harness.

If you have a 89-90, cut your MAF plug and splice into the CA harness, so you can use your much bigger MAF sensor.

On the CA harness, you need to extend the MAF wires so they can reach the drivers side of the engine bay.

Follow the instructions on heavy throttle (aka srswap.com) once you have both harnesses side by side, the instructions are easy to follow. I did my harness in less than 30 minutes and ive never messed with engine wiring before.

OK, more questions... What is the aluminum box located on the bottom shock tower next to the turbo. It has vacuum lines running from the turbo and I think 2 plugs (one on top and one on bottom). Im not if i need it or not. But if I do, where are you supposed to mount the dang thing? It wont reach the driver side shock tower where it looks like it would bolt right up. Im lost right now LOL

Naw, I refuse to spend any more money. In fact, just withdrew 600 dollars from my college fund for parts today. But, I'm trying to get this damn wiring done tonight, so any replies would be great. Thanks

Nope, you use the stock 240 fuse box.

Can you get a pic of it?

It sounds like that vaccumm canister that holds pressure or some crap. You dont need it. Only vaccumm line on the turbo should be going from the nipple on the compressor to the wastegate nipple.

If I understand what you're talking about it also has a solenoid on it?? One came with my motorset and I never used it, has 2 plugs on it. One plug is from the ignitor chip and the other goes to the solenoid. I just removed the ingitor chip and mounted it.

For those of you who've done the wiring, did you do this in-car once you had your CAs in, or detach both harnesses from their respective engines and do it beforehand?

I did it in car when the engine was out, for the wiring in the engine bay .. and did the wiring on the ca harness outside the car.
