In the middle of creating the harness for my RB20 in a s14 and I have come to a potential problem:

I have a very good idea of what is goin on I have even double checked all the connections used by Wulfgangs diagrams. HOWEVER, I think I may have made a small mistake... When you take out the entire S14 harness you have to pull the f3 connector another adjacent white connector, and a connector that connects to a blue relay.

Well I now have the ka24de engine harness seperated from the main harness, however I noticed that I have cut out the connector for the blue relay from the remainder of the f3 harness...

Basically, don't I need to still use this blue relay? If so it seems as tho at least half of the wires were part of the KA engine harness... any ideas how I should wire this into my RB20Det in a s14?

A picture is worth a thousand words:

Nope, the Green relays will take that one's place. There will be a lot of wires on the F3 harness that don't get used when you're all done.

The adjacent white plug to the F3 I think we determined was for auto trans..that what yours was?

if its the relay thats wired into the car.. not part of the engine harness.. then its the cruise control relay. if its off the engine harness, forget about it.. regardless, unless you cut it off the rb harnesses, forget about it.. you no longer have cruise control even if you did to begin with.

No, that's just the ECU (ECCS) relay. The ECU turns it on to provide power for the MAF, CAS, and a few other things. Like Nick said, there is an equivalent green relay on the RB harness right by the RB ECU. No worries; you don't need it.

Thanks a BUNCH... that was a relief.I swear i was being extra careful when cutting everything, however when I saw that hanging with half cut wires, half on the engine harness I got scared.

Nick, i actually have 2 other white connectors but one is quite large, and I believe it has something to do with the ABS. I'll take some more pics of everything to help others out in the future, and I can take a good pic of it to :)

Thanks again guys,

Murray
