Everyone, I've got a couple issues I hope you guys can address.
First, I used the FRsport link, seen here:
http://www.frsport.com/sr20det....html
I have some issues with their guide.
At the end of the guide, below figure 5, they tell you to connect the green/yellow on the KA plugs to the green/yellow on the SR harness. They do not mention, however, that there are two green/yellows on both the KA plugs and the SR harness. Both of the green/yellows on the KA plugs' pigtail go to the same gray plug. However, looking at the chassis side, there is only one green/yellow on the chassis side of the same gray connector. I assumed that the green/yellow on the KA plug pigtail with no match on the gray chassis side KA plug was an extra unused wire. I assumed the single green/yellow on the chassis side gray KA plug to be the A/C relay, found the A/C relay on the SR ECU pinout (green/yellow) and hooked it up to the corresponding wire on the gray KA plug pigtail and left the other two green/yellows disconnected. Is this correct?
Again in figure 5, they tell you to hook up the brown wire (O2 sensor pwr) to any +12v switched. They do not say where a convenient place to splice in for +12v switched is, so I looked at the chart below figure 5 and saw ECU Power (black/white). I spliced into this, assuming it was 12v switched. However, I am starting to second-guess myself and think that I should be spliced into the red/black (ECU Relay). I am starting to think that the black/white is +12v constant to the ECU relay, and that the red/black is a +12v switched signal to the ECU relay. Which wire should the brown O2 sensor power wire be spliced into, the black/white or the red/black?
Finally, again below figure 5 they mention to connect the blue/red and black/red on the SR harness to the black/red wire on the KA plug pigtail. My harness had two blue/red wires. I looked up the ECU pinouts and one of them was coilpack power, and the other was ignitor power (i think). Therefore, I hooked up both of the two SR harness blue/reds to the SR harness black/red, and then all three of these to the KA plug pigtail black/red. This gave me a four-wire junction, wheras the article implies a three-wire junction. Should I have these four wires connected, or should one of the blue/reds go elsewhere?
Thanks for the assistance. I'm kind of a n00b at wiring (this being the first harness I've done for the first swap I've done).
