Wiring question??

I ordered an sr front clip front jarcoinc.com, and it comes with a complete uncut wiring harness. I'm putting it in an 89 coupe so my question is will i have to extend any connectors even though my harness will be uncut? Will i have to get the dohc ka wiring harness to extend it?thanks

u dont need the dohc harness to extend, use what u got, its just wires. http://www.srswap.com has the wiring info under "swap faq"

Depending on how you lay out the harness in the engine bay, chances are you will just need to extend the MAFS and O2 wires. Try and use the proper gauge wires.

and use the old KA harness to salvage the needed shielded wire from for the MAF/Oxygen sensor wires.

How important is the shielding? I'm currently finishing up my wiring and I'm not using shielded wire. I mean, it's not any kind of high bandwidth data transmission or anything. It only measures the resistance in the variable resistors (aka hotwire and 02 sensor), right?
