I have my harness ready to mount into the Z, trying to get my fsm to work, but can't get past page 42, freezes up. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

On Z's engine harness, there are 2 plugs by battery, Bigger gray one,6pin, and a brown one,8 pin. One by ecu, white. (12-14 pin, 12 used).

I am looking for what these wires do, or connect to on Z, so I can tap in.I want to wire pump for relay only, not variable, info or experience, is helpful. I gotta get fsm to work, and print it.

Thanx As soon As I am rolling, I will do this in autocad and make it look nice, n post it.

Have you tried to re-download the FSM? Which one do you need? I have the Q45 FSM but are you also referring to the Z FSM?

You can get FSM's here on NICOhttp://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/

Or they have some on phatg20.net

I need info on Z32, I have all the q part done, just need to connect pigtails of Z to it. I tried to redownload, went to a community college, it worked. went through all the ecef, and got most of what I need. I am not 100% about a few of the wires though, but it will work. that Phat20, thing is what I was looking for, but the Nico one did it. Granted Nico is better, but was freezing up.

On wiring, a few q's- some of these I am sure of, some not totally sure, and some what do they do.

y/r is tachw/blk is ign onw is batttery sourceblk/r is to ign on(same blk/r on Q)blk/y is to start signalg/silver bands is p/s pressure switchblk/pnk is fuel pump relayBig O/silver bands is ECU Power on/off??????????????????? is that one to an ign on then?light blue is a/c switchg/r is power source for throttle valve switchDoes fuel temp snesor need to be connected?(brown/silver bands)

blue/blky/gbluebrown/pink bandsblk/r w silver bandsy/bI do not know what those above do yet. Although I have not looked at my Q harness within the last month. Been busy on Customers cars.

Any info on these wires is helpful to me, and those to come. THANX!!!!!!!1

Do these help at all? There's a few wires missing from the diagrams since I never quite finished putting the drawings together.

Based on the commonalities of Nissan colours, these are more than likely correct.Yellow/Green - Speed signalYellow/black - Oil light/gaugeBlue/Black - Temp gauge. No to fuel temp sensor. Sorry, can't help with the rest.Check where these wires on the old loom went. That should give you all the answers.

THANK you. That is more of what I am looking for. I don't usually do nissan, so not familiar with their system, and the fsm, from what I have seen, in 300zx doesnt show this info., I have been through it page by page. I tried to chase the wires too, but that was a pita n only helped on 4 or so. I have 12 identified wires of need in the Z's connecters, so think that with the info above, I got it. As soon as I do, I will help to get a sweet electrical layout done, n posted. 1 step 2 a time

Thanx tmorgan, i think those are Q though, but by the end of the day the wiring harness will be done. I hope.

Oh my bad....misread your post. Fortunately like Mettler said Nissan tends to keep things pretty consistant so a lot of the wires will be the same. I ran into quite a few differences in my Pathfinder harness though.

Thanx Morgan, I too have found numerous differnces in the colors from one model to the next within the nissan family

How are ya'll bypassing the fuel pump variable pump controller? I figure the white at pump, just gets jumped to the orange power wire? or to a seperate switch to power it? I know some will keep it, but I am not. Hell I am going to try to make the N/A pump work for now, $$$

Yeah the NA pump will work fine until you step on it. I hooked mine up to the FPCU but to bypass it you can remove it and just make sure the pump sees 12v. You can use the stock wiring and just butt splice from the relay to the pump.

I did what T45 said but my car didn't run a FPCU to begin with. I don't have anything hooked up where the FPCU is and my pump is just 12V on when the pump relay clicks on.

Thanx T45, I figured it would work till I floor it.Morgan, What pump are you using, not the Pathy right? I figured you put in an aftermarket.FSM made it look like just jumping it, to the 12v, would bypass it, Thanx for input, counting down the days till my first burnout in the Z45

I've got the pinouts for those that I used if you haven't got what you need. Not sure how to host them so shoot me an email if you do want them: [email protected]

Thanx John, email sent. All the info I can get is best, and then I can get a great looking and easy to follow pictorial made for this. The 255 mounted in pretty easily? Hoping if I baby it to help break in the clutch, I will not run out of fuel pressure, till I can buy a new pump.
