My little brother washed the outside of my car yesterday. Afterwards, my car went haywire, I'm wondering if he accidentally wet something under the hood?

First, as I was driving, my radio began to go out. I had a CD in, so I assumed it was either my CD skipping or my stereos going out. A few blocks later, once I got to a stop sign or red light, once I hit the accelerator again, it was a great pull, like it didn't want to pull off. At that point, I'd turned on my hazards, proceeded with caution, and tried to avoid coming to a complete stop as much as possible.

Once I got to a safe place, I turned the car off and it wouldn't start again. My neighbors were nice enough to help me jump the car a few times. Each time it would start, but then turned off completely after a couple of minutes.

Within the last couple weeks, I've had work done to my car. I had the muffler replaced and some front end work done as well. I honestly can't tell you in detail what was done to the front end. My dad told me to order the following parts, and I had a mechanic install them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PARTS ORDERED
Shock and Strut Boot KYB Shock and Strut Boot QX4|Base KYB
Price: $ 20.49 Qty: 2.00 Part #: KYSB129

Shock Absorber and Strut Assembly 1998-2001 Infiniti QX4 KYB Shock Absorber and Strut Assembly QX4 KYB
Price: $ 70.66 Qty: 1.00 Part #: KY335031
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maybe you'll have a better idea of what was done to my car from the parts I ordered (shame, I don't know). Any idea on what can be going wrong with my car? It's completely dead. My horn won't blow, my interiors/exteriors lights won't come on. I have a brand new battery with a 5 year warranty, so I know it isn't the battery.

P.S. I have a 1999 Infiniti QX4

The alternator or battery terminals may have gotten wet, but it's doubtful unless the hood was up during the car wash. You should get your battery tested or at least get a multimeter and record battery voltage with the engine off, during cranking, and at normal idle (750 rpm). Have a friend crank the engine for you so you can monitor the voltage. Once you've got these, post them here. You may have blown some fuses if your horn and lights are not functional - check in the engine bay's fuse box as well as behind the coin tray for fuses that sound applicable.

Your replacement of one strut should not have had this effect, so that is almost certainly unrelated.
