Wiring prob i think.

91 240sx sr20det s13blacktopI had jus got the car from someone.Noticed the fan wasent tied into a switch or anything jus grounded to the Top of the head in front on valve cover and one wire sitting near battery.So i lookied it over and tried to connect the wire near the battery and noticed that the fan didnt work.Bumer bad fan.Pulled out the fan and said what the hell try again and ran ground on terminal and hot on treminal and fan worked.So i placed it back in the car.Ran the wires like they were before.Well i noticed a clicking sound in the car comming from the dash so lookied and all my lighst were flickering.So i disconected it and tried post to post and fan worked.

Maybe this is why i get these probs listed here zer...didnt want to double post

Fans need to be wired up to relays to work properly.

I know they have to be wired liek that but what i was getting at is that there is something wrong here and like i said i didnt install motor so i have no clue what to look for .Rem when i use that as ground my Gauge lights come on ,Like oil Seatblet and the other without the key on.
