wiring on auto to 5 speed swap on s13 240sx.

I saw a wiring harness on ebay for an auto to manual swap but I dont know what all I need to do it. I quit bidding at 35 bucks. What do I really need? Do I really need a brake booster and master from a 5 speed or just the petal? Isnt there any write ups on this???

yea to do the swap on the s13 you need the wiring harness but.... you're bidding against me on ebay right now for that harness. the olny reason why I'm bidding on the one on ebay b/c the junkyards I've looked at do not have the harnesses left in them and I do not have a running car at the moment. So I could only shop around as long as my friends wanted to. The harness is the last thing I need to make my car run. if you're not gonna out bid me could you possibly retract your bids... please?http://www.240sx.org/links/installs/this is for a s14 but just switch the parts needed to s13.

you don't need the harness

if you dont need reverse lights, then its just 2 wires that you cross and your done.

looking at the different transmissions... automatic on a 90 and a 91 the diagrams appear to be very differnt. like sensors and harness connectors. I could be wrong b/c I'm not looking directly at my 90 automatic and my 95 5spd transmission. but upon pulling my automatic transmission out of the car the cluster plugs that bolt to the transmission were just snipped off for ease of removal. also, Mack from mckinney suggested to get an s13 5spd harness.

definately different wiring harnesses. I had to compare as soon as I got home. the 90 automatic harness as far as I can tell will not plug into any 5spd transmission what so ever.

which is why you don't use the harness. The only plug from the trans harness that gets plugged back in is the speed sensor.
