I want to pull existing pins from my old KA ecu plug with wiring still attached and just pop it into the blank spots on the RB ecu plug so for map sensor signal, 5v, etc... is there a special technique to get the pin and wiring out of the plug, intact??

On either the front or back side of the connector above the pin there's another hole. The lock for the pin can be pushed down with a small screw driver and it will unlock the pin.

However AEM supplies extra pins so you won't have to do that...

Is it not locking or just not sliding in?

I just used needle nose pliers to neatly crimp it.

make sure that the pin is inserted at the right angle (try rotating it) or else it will not go all the way it.
