Wiring MSD6a to s13 KA24DE

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Does this require opening up the distributor to wire anything? On my honda, it was easy, but from my understanding, something has to be done in the distributor itself.

I'd appreciate any info.

You do on the S14 distributor because of the internal coil. Not sure about the S13. I'm guessing no. I switched to the S13 distributor on my S14 and used it with an MSD Coil and the MSD 7al-2. But, I'm running a standalone, so I'm not quite sure where all the wires would have to go with the factory computer, a 6 model ignition, and the stock coil. Good luck....if you don't have an FSM...get one.

Got an FSM, an MSD6a, MSD blaster II coil, and an MSD BTM. I shoulda figured that since it has an external coil that it prolly wouldnt be necessary. I'll try to do a write-up when in install 'em.

That FSM takes a LOT of getting used to coming from using HELMs manuals
