Ok, I think my engine harness is from hell, or I did something stupid, or both. lol. Ok, I wired the car according to Heavy throttle. rewired the interior plug with all the wires that matched. I have a 4 gauge ground strap, and thats about it. But, the car is shorting some where, because for instance, the floor lights, that come on when you open the door, are too dim. anyway, the ECU won't cycle, and the engine isn't getting spark. The fuel pump is working, but no fuel into the engine, and no spark. I am at my wits end with this. If anyone is around Richmond who will come out, I would reeeeeeeeally appreciate it. If anyone needs more info, ask, and I will answer. just, please someone tell me whats wrong!!:help

Also, for another thing, what plugs do you guys run? The ones in my car now are the JDM junkyard ones, and could probably do with changing. I am not sure which to get; sparkplug heat ranges are not somethign I am familiar with. Assuming I get soem help with the wiring, and it actually starts!

You only have one ground strap?

did u get a front clip or just the engine???NO FUEL but pump working????? did u connect the line @ the right locations?? meaning tank->filter-> FPR, Rail->return line. double check all wiring. how did u connect them?? did u solder it together?? ( recommended) or just tie it together and tape it??? all this are pretty important stuff. make sure u double check everything . follow the HT wiring diagram and some from Sport Compact Car. and check the PLUGS ( locations of the pins). Spark PLUG...Goood?? let us know. C

Yes, one ground strap. Keep in mind, I had the car running. There is fuel, but for some reason, the injectors don't fire, and there is no spark. something is shorting, somethign not connected righyt, something like that. I just have no idea what. and the car was runnign before.

you have your fuel lines backwards. both of you! :) the line from the filter goes to the end of the rail NOT the FPR. The line from the FPR goes to the return line back to the tank...

Would anyone take my harness and convert it? I am so sick of it, and am at a loss. There is no one here to show me; I would love to learn, but I am at a loss. If there is someone who is willing to do this, please e-mail me at [email protected] , with how much you will charge,, and how soon you can do it. I will also detail what I have done to the harness if anyone is interested. Thanks all!

There are atleast 5 grounding wires in the harness.
