wiring help

Wow this is turning out difficult, that 8 step guide isnt making a whole lot of sense to me. Heres what Im looking at now

It asks you to split the red/black wire and mate it with a grey wire. The whole 8 step guide shows him using the other side of plugs that for me are still in the Skyline. Do you need them or can you just take the grey wire out of the back of the plug on the Skyline upper and mate it to the red/black. I hope so cause the other side of the plug is pretty much unusable.

Next the guide calls for you to put a black/pink with the black/pink for the KA ECU plug... I dont even have the KA ECU plug in the car. Im totally lost here. EDIT: Think we solved this one, just written weird in one guide but the other clears it up

Lastly I was just wondering what you do with the other million wires that I have hanging from the cut skyline dash harness and other places. You plug in like 2 wires from the plug, and from what Im gathering you still the rest though the firewall just to hang and connect to nothing...
