Allright, I figure us SR guys are about 90 times more likely to know what stuff is in the engine bay cause the average 240 owner doesnt mess with their stuff a whole lot.

anyways, Its been forever since Ive worked on the wiring of this car so I completly forgot were some of this stuff went. I did all the rest by memory but its been awhile.

Ive tried FSMs but that **** doesnt load on my computer cause of adobe.

Ive got TONS of pics of all the wires and have some idea of were they are needing to go.

So here we go.

This is the lower harness yay!

lets just call this plug 1. You can see its prongage, its got a black wire with a yellow stripe connected to it.

#2 Yellow/Black and a Yellow/Blue

#3 Big eyelet looks like it goes to the Alternator

#4 little eyelet looks like it goes to the alternator also

#5 Two loose wires that look like they go together. Brown and a Black.

#6 Plug wif a rubber deal on it. 1 Yellow w/ white stripe wire.

#7 Big connector. Im about 99% sure it goes to the Alternator as well.

#8 Pretty sure this is the Power Steering thing. IDK if its needed or what but if so ill need to extend it about 5 feet.

Heres my Starter. I dont know whitch plug goes on that little guy.

Theres also these wires under my car coming from the transmission. Im too lazy to currently jack it to see witch sensors they're too but maby you peeps can help.

First two are a solid black and a green w/ brown stripe

Second are a solid green/ solid black

Also coming off near my power steering plug is this funky little guy.

Heres a Giant connector near the pass side fuse box. IDK what it is either. There is nothing near by that looks like its made to plug into it. IDK if its part of the old AC or what.

Then on the drivers side coming off that fuse box theres this ****. I have no idea what this stuff is anymore. They all kinda come out on the same line deal.

OK, i think thats it. All helpfull input would be great.

-THANKS-

Sweetness. Thanks for you helpfullness.

Any idea what that giagantic plug is for.

So i got a majority of them figured out but still not sure about these.

#2 Yellow/Black and a Yellow/Blue... Maby goes to trans?

#5 Two loose wires that look like they go together. Brown and a Black.

#6 Plug wif a rubber deal on it. 1 Yellow w/ white stripe wire.

This odd gray plug near the coolant res/ignitor area.

Ill probably figure out what these wires are coming off the trans when I get a chance to get the car back up on ramps.

Doesn't look like it goes to the MAF, looks too small.

MAF sensors plugs are also black. Not grey. My guess is it's part of the A/C system.

#2 is your speed sensor

#6 is your oil pressure switch plug

With as trashed as your lower harness looks, I would consider getting an intact KA lower harness. The only major change that needs to be done to it is the starter has one different plug. The spade terminal on the SR starter is a plug of some kind on the KA. You just cut that plug off and put a spade receiver on the lower harness to make it work. I'm just seeing a lot of cut/pulled plugs, especially the one picture where the plug housing was obviously ripped off. It broke the black wire, but left the crimped plug on the green wire.

Sweet, that helps quite a bit.

If I can find an S13 in the junk yard ill just pull the lower harness but I havnt seen any for ages so thats why im just trying to figure out this mess.

Weres the oil pressure switch at? Im guessing near the filter there? Its currently WAY too cold for me to wanna go and rummage around and find what goes were.

It's right next to the filter.

The hole that's to the left of the filter is where the pressure switch screws into.

The giant connector with the red and white wires should go to the alt.

I'm trying to figrue out the mystery brown and black wires. They're next to the starter, but I can't find anything that matches those wires. And by your picture, it looks like it should be starter related, but I'm not certain. It would help me if you had a picture of the lower harness pulled out and layed out on the ground.

So basically we got alot figured out right? The only things that are really a mistery at this point are the loost brown/black, the giant connector, and that odd gray one.

Im deffenetly gonna mess around with some of this disaster tomarow morning and see what i can find out.

oh, and also what are those wires comming directly off the + battery terminal? I know the main one goes straight to the starter but idk were the others go.

I wanna relocate my battery just to get it outta the way but those wires are short and seem to go into that fuse box so idk what to do with them if I relocate the bat.

Thanks again guys, big help over here!

The two smaller plugs power the accessories on the car. Pretty much anything that isn't engine related. They usually plug into a red housing that is bolted to the positive terminal clamp

The black plug in your post should be one of the plugs that the lower harness plugs into, but I can't double check on my car right now to verify that (it's at the body shop still)

I think I have a lead on the brown and black wires. One of my friends thinks that they go to one of the boost control selenoid, however, that piece is bolted to the sturt tower on the exhaust side, so it makes no sense why the wiring would be on the lower harness. Until I have a japanese wiring diagram (which I hope to have within the next few months. There's a guy in england scanning the S13 JDM FSM right now), I can't tell what the heck those wires are for.

Allright, alittle update.

I figured out were 90% of these wires go and am so excited.

The oil pressure sensor connector is busted so I cant plug that in. I guess it ait too big a deal for now. Factory oil pressure sensor=fail.

Also found were the giant connector goes, the other end was tucked in a misterious place lol.

So yeah, only thing holding me up with wiring right now is the neutral position switch.

heres a pic from the 5 speed swap thread.

I need to splice the neutral position wires together. The discription is SO vauge.
5speed swap thread wrote:A small 2 wire plug (it's not visible in the picture except by the two wires connected by the yellow splice). To make the car start, you'll have to jumper those. The easiest way is to canibalize the plug off the AT transmission harness. Then you can just connect the two wires together with a splice and plug it back into the chassis plug.
In the picture its circles some big plug. Im not sure why. I guess I just needa know what color these wires are that im needing to splce together.

IDK, any help would, well... help.

-THANKS-

ok, never mind about the neutral switch.

Finally figured out what wires they are. Everyone was saying they are underneath and twords the back of the fuse box.

Mine was totally like tucked up with my harness twords the fender and infront of the coolant tank and stuff.

I use the blue shanked ones. They seem to fit 16g wiring the best.
