I can't seem to find the instrument cluster pin out in the FSM. I am trying to find a 12v for the VSS and a reverse signal. Can someone help with a color/pin #/location of a VSS/reverse signal behind the gauge cluster, at the shifter or behind the HVAC/stereo?

I show the VSS to be a Pink/Blue Pin#68 on ECM in passenger kick paneland reverse wire to be Blue/White in the drivers kick panel and is positive trigger. As always use at your own risk please verify with a DVM (Digital Volt Meter).

If you are mounting your nav. unit in your trunk, you are able to run the "reverse lights" wire to either positive terminal of your reverse lights. That will save you having to run it all the way up to your driver kick panel.

Also don't quote me on this, but I believe the VSS is a 0-3v source, not a 12v, (mine was 0-3v) please verify with volt meter. For that you DO have to run to the passenger kick panel. Good luck, I just finished mine yesterday!

Which head unit are you using? That's a nice looking install!

There isn't a separate brain on this unit, it's integrated - and I would much rather not have to run a wire from the dash back to the trunk to find a reverse wire. As for the voltage at the VSS, you're right, it is variable, I was actually referring to the reverse wire; I wasn't clear.

Heath, I decided to go with the Pioneer Avic D3.
