I have an uncut s13 sr harness that came on my swap engine, and an uncut s13 ka harness. I see its not as simple as plugging in my sr harness so what is the best route. A- modify the sr harness to locate the ecu to the north american ecu position and extending the wires, B- have my ka harness modified by a wiring harness service, C- set the car on fire. And dont tell me to hire someone who knows what hes doin, im determined damnit. a link to a jdm harness layout would help wonders too. u guys here are my last hope.

I agree with the guys, Convert your S13 SR harness, you only have to splice what, 4-5 wires?? Don't remember the exact number but it's easier then cake. Go to heavythrottle.com, they basically bottle feed you the information.

The KA inner engine harness is absolutely useless and not used in the SR swap. The picture below is a (not to scale) example of how the SR harness is oriented in a Japanese car. Assume the front of the car is to the right and the ECU wiring runs through the firewall on the left. What you are going to want to do is flip the harness opposite of how it is layed out in the JDM car. This will force you to extend the following connectors: MAFS, PS (if you really want to), Wastegate valve control solenoid (if you really want to), and O2 sensor (only like 6-10 inches).

If you choose to leave the ECU on the left hand side of the car by your foot you have a few problems. One, there is nowhere to mount it in the car because the fusebox and super multiple junction are in the way. Two, instead of extending 2 connecters (5 wires), you have to extend all the wires used in the battery area conversion wiring, and the wires will have to be long (about 3-4 feet). Three, you will need to extend the JDM dash connector to reach the USDM dash connector on the right hand side of the car. Which would mean taking out the dash and extending about 6 wires 4 feet, just for half of them to just go back to the gauge cluster again.
