I am in the midst of swapping a 95 ka24de into my s13. Not the brightest, seeing how it needs some extra things to make it possible. I have it all except one item. I need a wiring harness from a 91-93 DOHC motor. Does anyone have one avaiable?

i think you'd better off getting a 95 wiring harness. the 95s were ODBII, I think., so you'll need the extra wiring that goes into the ECU

I'm killing the emissions because I live in Fl and its not an issue, so the obd isn't a huge thing. But hey, if theres one around, I'll settle.

Hey Tenkawa, I thought the 95's were ODBI with the 96's being ODBII. In either case I don't think you can use the 93 harness with the 95

Some 95's were OBDII, most seem to be OBDI.

As far as the harness goes, If this is going into a S13 chassis, he would be much better off using an S13 ecu and harness. To use the S13 harness, some of the sensors may need to be swapped out.

i forgot that 95 was ODBI. I have it in my mind all S14s were ODBII :D

anyways, yeah keeping with the S13 harness would work best then. All he'd need to do is switch the head temp sensor. He'll also need the tach since the DOHC tach signal is different from a SOHC.

Other than that, I don't see why any of the other sensors would be different.

Some wonderful car manufacturers switched plug types on injectors, mafs, tps, etc. So you can't directly plug the harness up, even though the sensors are basically the same. I can't remember if this happened between the S14 and S13 though.

Yeah, most of them won't hook up, but a harness from a 91-93 dohc will do the job, since you can rewire the harness and all to make it perfect. But the sohc won't do it. I got one from the shop....150 later. He probably got it cheap and jacked it up. Who knows. I plan on asking them to see the old one, just in case.
