Ok so I go to hookup the scanner and read some codes or potential faults, the DLC I found on the passenger side under the dash but the scanner won't connect to the ECU is this because Its a hacked up harness and it won't work or ...? Either that or I just need to get a stand alone setup to read codes and tune the car. Can anyone else read codes from the DLC using a scanner.

Its likely that the consult wiring is not wires in properly. Aside from that - the consult port should work.

a picture will tell a thousand words. or even less than a thousand, e.g. "this is not actually the consult port" or "this is the consult port but it looks like someone put their peepee in it" or "thats the consult port and it looks fine - you werent trying to use an OBDII scanner were you?..."

sorry on another note that was pretty funny, looks like someone stuck their peepee in it, effin hilarious. Ok yes I feel like as A$$clown im an Idiot, I was trying to use the OBDII port. Im guessing the consult is the only thing that you can read data and get dtc's with off that harness or setup. I will take picture tomorrow but I am guessing that harness was just for the stock K motor. But I do have a question, where would the consult port be located on the harness?? I mean im sure its in the cabin of the car instead of the engine bay but pass or driver side??

assuming this is for your "S14 with RB25DET Neo", the RB25 was a Jap import engine right? in which case it doesnt have the mixed OBDII/consult support like USA nissans (normally via 2 seperate plugs until nissan moved to consult 2 via the OBDII plug), it only has consult support. if you dont have a consult port or dont have that port wired up to the ECU, you'll need to do that. the port is normally located in the in-cabin fuse box (drivers side i think?), either attached to edge of fuse panel, or 'floating' in there somewhere (this was case with s13, dont know about s14).

yeah thats the OBDII. so looks like you might need to wire in a consult plug.

well thats the plug under the dash on the pass. side, so im assuming thats the oBDII for the stock motor, But I was looking around for the consult connector, possibly it was tucked away. Or maybe it was never added. Im not sure I'm gonna go into more detail with the harness in a couple of days and see if its hidden.

Can anyone point me in the direction on how to wire up a consult plug and where I can possibly get one? Thanks...

0) visit a wrecker and cut one out. or pay $25 from blazt.biz
1) get ecu pinout for your car, e.g. from r34 engine service manual if its r34...i think most rb25 consult pins are same place though
2) get consult plug pinout - http://www.ecutalk.com/images/consult_car.jpg
3) wire up! rx/tx/clk/check go to ecu (check optional, only for manual code flashing if that will even work on your setup), and work out good place to source 12v ignition switched power from. some people just source from ecu power/ground pins, but be aware if you short circuit something on that circuit, you loose your ecu etc.

ideally, test the connector with consult cable/device before making wiring permanent, e.g. in case u mixed pins up or whatever.

I found my consult plug, it was on the drivers side just above the fuse panel. I opened the cover and saw the gray connector. I guess I didn't fully read the posts above. Thanks for the help.
