how hard is it to remove a wiring harness for a newbie, is it possible to remove it with out taking out the engine(proably not)?

an hours worth of work and that assumes copious beer consumption during the process.

I did it. It is actually pretty easy. I pulled both of the harness (upper portion of the engine harness) and sent it to Mckinney to have them splice it together.

With that wiring option you have to use the 240's lower harness and a few things off of the RB's lower harness. This part I should have done before I put the RB into the 240, as I found it was a pain to get to these wires.

But the upper portion is easy, you have plenty of room.
