Wiring Harness

A Nissan rep quoted me $1500 for a new wiring harness. This seemed really expensive, anyone else have an idea how much I'd need to spend on a new/used one?

DAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMN That is insane. Try a junk yard. I would give you mine if you wanna splice your ECU plugback on it (I sold my EC plug). What year 240???

Im not too knowledgable on wiring harnesses. Mine is from a 91 5 spd, non SE (whatever the base model coupe was called in 91). I would let you have it. Do you need the upper or lower wiring harness...or both

Shoot... didn't even know there was a difference. It's the one connected to my fuse/relay box on the left-hand side of the enginewell.

Yeah there is two I believe. I removed the upper and still see a harness towards the block/transmission. I cant remember which one has the fuse boxs and stuff on it. I believe it is the lower??? Not sure, will have to check when I get home. Actually my friend cut that one too. Now that i think about it, the lower harness has the fuse boxes, etc. I recently pulled the harness with the ECu and there was no fuse boxes on it. Damn, well it would be free if it works out. I can take pics of the cuts and all. All you would need to pay for is shipping. I'll get back to you. Actually probably wouldnt be worth it. Depends how much of your harness si gone...like I said, I dont know too much on that.

The reason I am considering it is that Nissan said the one in my car is shot. Frayed and "underpowered" wires. They could be BSing me, too. This is kinda wha I'm wondering. I appriciate the offer though I might want to take you up on that man.

Post on all the different nissan forums....you should be able to find one. If not a whole engine...
