Ok, I've soldered the 3 wires so far from the s13 plugs to the 8 pin plug with 7 wires on the rb20det...

I have one wire left to solder according to the guide by Skillzilla

*******10) Using your voltmeter, find a wire from the S13 grey plug that shows 12V when the key is in the ON position and 0V when the key is off. Also, ensure it remains at 12V when the key is in the START position. Connect this wire to the white/purple from the RB harness. This will tell the ignition relay when to turn on.

Only problem, I do not have a voltmeter, and the lower harness is out of the vehicle because I am working on that one too... so no way to test....

It says find one on the gray plug, I have these left on the gray plug..Green/Yellow (lights??)Blue/greenBlackRed/BlueandBlack/White

One wire used from the brown plug, 2 from gray, all going into the plug with 7 wires hanging out of it from rbThe wires used areBlack/RedWhite/Black

Wires left on the rb plug:White/Purple (I need to do this one)Green/Brown (??)Thick Red/YellowLight greenLight blue

Thanks for any help... been searching around

Ok, so I followed the wiring diagram for the starter, and the white wire I need to connect the white/purple one to goes directly to the battery..

Now, question is, should I use that wire coming off of the battery (I dont know if the white/purple one is controlled) or follow it to the fuse box?

Also scratch the thick red/yellow wire, it doesnt have a wire on the other end of the connector, still wondering about the white one though...

I think I may have to follow it into the fuse box because by theory it would be getting constant power from the battery and would need a relay, right?

Ok, found the white wire (Hidden under the Ign Switch fuse, pop the bottom cover) from the fusebox (in the engine bay... duh)

So, there is a medium one going off of that into a thick one, then into a bundle..

I am going to tap into the thick one by removing the insulation (which Carl H says in his how to guide) and tapping into it, then soldering it...

Now once that is done I should be about done except for the 2 sensors on the transmission.. Hopefully tomorrow the school library will be open so I can print the diagrams out and follow all of the wires :-)
