I am cleaning up the wiring in my engine and I was wondering if anyone knows what is on the harness between the TPS and distibutor? It sits right behind the fan? I planned to take it apart, check it for shorts and clean it up. Any help is appreciated

Well I figured out it was a ignition condenser and 2.2k resister. Not exactly sure of there function though

The condenser keeps noise from the coil discharges from filtering back into the 12V power rail. The resistor is on the feedback line to the ECM and serves to drop the voltage into the ECM input (coil primary flyback can top 300V).
