Notice the line on the '03 labeled "Communication I/F" going between the switches and to the SEC. The SEC was the BCM's prehistoric ancestor. That line is a serial bit-bang, much like the old K-line predating CAN.mdmellott wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 11:12 amYep. '02 and '03 QX4 have a totally different schematic than the '97. Infiniti didn't make a '04 QX4. Here are the power window schematics. '97 starting on page EL-171 >>> https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 7%2Fel.pdf '03 starting on page EL-380 >>> https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 3%2FEL.pdf

I just fed open the first set of window holes till the switches could slip by. Then opened the window And door lock ones up a bit. Worked out fine- Way easier than sorting out the electrics which sounds impossible or at least way over my head:-P ... Same with heater, dash cluster, and some other stuff. - huge improvement on the interior so far. I'm picking away at it slowly, but it's turning out nice so far... I'll try to post a few pics.
Is there any chance I can wire the analog clock in by tapping into some existing wires? Would it need much more than constant power like the "security" stuff or stereo memory or something?
Check out the '03 clock schematic on page EL-186. https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 3%2FEL.pdf It looks very straight forward. Constant power, as you said, on one leg and power to the clock's light, on the second leg, only when your dashboard lights are on.nitestar007 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 5:18 amIs there any chance I can wire the analog clock in by tapping into some existing wires? If that is too much of a hassle, cover up the clock with a cell phone holder. That's what I did on mine because it is an ideal position for a cell phone, I already have a clock displayed on my audio head unit, and I think those OEM clocks look a bit janky.mdmellott wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 6:31 amCheck out the '03 clock schematic on page EL-186. https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 3%2FEL.pdf It looks very straight forward.
