OK...I have a thread already started in the "Nissan Trucks" section:

zer...dance

But I think that my problems can be better answered here since my problem is more about the RB engine's wiring. Some of these RB wires, I will just have to find a suitable power source, so I need to make sure I know WHENNNNN these wires receive a POS or NEG signal (keyed-2-start, switched, constant, ?????)

With the white/purple, black/red, and white/black ALL connected directly to 12+POS, the key starts the engine and it idles....But I need to know how to properly wire the wires I ask about below....

Here we go......

1) In the s13 KA RB swap guide: connect the white/purple to the WHITE by the KA fusebox...........

If the white/purple leads to the RB green ign relay (I think it does), what kind of wire is the WHITE one it connects to?? 12v keyed-2-start or 12v switched (ON with the accessories)??

2) Black/red = IGN power....const, switched, or only keyed-2-start??

3) White/black = ECU memory ....soooo....const right?? (ALWAYS 12v, even with key off??)

4) The white/red wire from the alternater.....where does that wire actually send it's signal on the 240sx....I need to know that so I can find the same destination on the pickup and connect the white/red alternator wire to the correct wire in the pickup.......THIS IS ONE OF MY MOST IMPORTANT QUESTIONS. (atleast the other ones I can guess at...I don't have a clue as to the purpose of this wire!!!!)

Maybe this can help a little.1) Needs to be connected to the ignition fuse in the outside relay box on a 240, should be simlar on a hardbody. It is switched power.2)switched power3)constant power4)not sure off the top of my head but ill go outside and take a look after it warms up a little.

2) when you say switched, you mean that it stays on with the accessories, right? (not JUST when the starter is turning over?)

Thanks for looking at #4 for me!!

1) does this one ONLY get voltage when "keyed-2-start" and NOT when running? or is it one that stays powered while running...

2) when you say switched, you mean that it stays on with the accessories, right? (not JUST when the starter is turning over?)
