Wiring for auto-dimming mirror on 2013 SV with sunroof

When I bought my Rogue in August, the nissanusa website stated that an auto-dimming mirror is not available on any 2013 Rogue except for the SL, which comes standard with this item.

Now it says the auto-dimming mirror is a $238 option. I'm not the slightest bit interested in the functions of the mirror itself, but I'd like to hang a radar detector from from the mirror and using a blendmount (or equivalent) mount along with the MirrorTap power cord that plugs directly into the back of the harness that delivers power to the auto-dimming mirror.

Because I have the sunroof package in my 2013 SV (without SL package) there is wiring above the driver's sun visor and I suspect the harness that would connect to the auto-dimming mirror on the SL model is probably in my vehicle. Is this something worth pursuing?

I'd prefer to power a hanging radar detector by this method rather than going into the fuse box, running the wire up the A post and across the top of the windshield. This auto-dimming mirror power source for the radar detector seems so much cleaner and less invasive to the interior of the vehicle.

Would a dealer be able to order and install the auto-dimming mirror for me at this point?

I ordered the mirror through my local dealer and had it installed yesterday. The harness is not included in the vehicle. It came in the installation kit with the mirror. That part of the service went extremely well. The rest, not so much. Here's an update on all the other crap they did while it was there, without my knowledge, consent, authorization, or approval:

I bought the Home link Mirror on EBay for $80.00 and installed on my 2011, and transferred it to 2013 Rogue. The small cover above drivers sun shield gets you into wiring. Get Volt meter and look for constant hot, or switch on hot to get your power. Nice to have garage door opener in mirror
