I wired the fan as shown in the pick.

I pulled the fuel pump relay and wired it in series with a relay. Wired up the fan and grounded it. Works great as far as the fan goes, ignition on fan on, just what I wanted, but then I realised the car wouldn't start the damn pump wasn't running. I reinstalled the fuse to double check I hadn't fuggered up somehting and it ran fine, so whats going on? is the relay using that much juice that the pump can't run while it holds its contects shut?

I need a good easy to access set of relay contacts or wires to tap into for my relay so that the fans run when the ignition is in the on position, I ran the car for a few days with it on a switch but I don't want the hassle. its fine that they run the second the ignition is turned to on, thats what I want.

u need to wire the fans the rite way using the fuel pump relay is not wiseto have longevity u must use a fuse for pos. trigger then change polarity to neg. to trigger a pos. charged relay which will turn on the fan(s)I do electrical on cars and electronics and relays are ur friends but u must use them wiselyI dont have a diagram but ill see wat I can do

Well the relay is working fine. The fans have fused power from the Battery + and are each grounded. I just don't know why the fuel pump doesn't have enough juice to run, but I am about to try somehting else anyyway.
