i search nico and google- Granted, i suck at searching, but I came blank

I picked up an eclipse resistor box, so any help regarding that type would be great

also, picked up a Q45 ignitor, but I alreayd grabbed a wiring diagram from heavythrottle on wiring that

thanks in advance

the resistor is simple, look at the CA FSM diagrams, one pin will be common to all 4. each of the others goes to one of the injectors (doesn't matter which). The common pin won't be straight through but have x ohms resistance. whichever pin has x to each of the other 4, is the common one (if you take two uncommons you get 2x resistance). it should be the wire that comes out of the middle of the resistor box (four go into the four resistors, one comes back from the far end up the middle).

i think that helps

LOL

which part of the FSM should i be looking at? the wiring diagrams i have in front of me are impossible to read, they're too tiny and blurred

yep, that wiring diagram is for using the Q ignitor on an SR... fits right on a CA

I was of the opinion the DSM dropping resistor was a plug and play deal too though... maybe not

Click for readable diagram.

Top row, first on the left is the injectors, to the right of that the dropping resistor. Between that and some common sense / smart usage of ohmeter it should be easy to wire up. There's no need for resistor output X to go to injector Y, as long as it's each to its own, and not combined. Then connect the middle (at least coming out of the resistor box, don't remember the pinout exactly) wire on the resistor to power (R).

I actually jacked some DSM and Nissan connectors at the junkyard and wired up a jumper cable to fit between them, so if I ever have to replace I don't have to rewire if the replacement is a Nissan one vs the DSM, just remove the jumper cable. I might check if I think / remember to, the wiring.. done messing with the car for tonight tho.

yeah, after getting a better copy of the wiring diagrams in the FSM i realized how it had to be wired

it's a lot simpler than I realized

and yeah the Q45 ignitor is plug and play, lol- didn't realize that either

of course i lost the one on ebay by 50 cents (15.50) oops, have to make a trip to the junkyard this weekend- thanks for the helps guys, forgive my lack of knowledge, it takes pretty tactful searching to find decent information regarding this motor and I'm the type of person that has to have everything figured out before I start working on it

but i'm getting there
