wiring conversion ?'s

Hi everyone, im obviously new to this forum but i've done my fair share of searching in the past weeks here because i've grown tired of my DSM and im ready to start another project car ( S13 Sr20det swap ). I think that i have everything down except the wiring for the most part. i have read about it at heavy throttle and i still dont understand what exactly doesnt match up. i am probably going to be one of the brave souls that gets his engine from flashoptions and they give you the entire front clip and uncut harness so why cant i just pull out my KA harness and use the jdm one instead? i dont understand what has to be interchanged exactly and everywhere i look i cant find a FAQ about it besides heavy throttle's which i've found to be a little unclear with things. Well one thing that will cause you problems trying to find that info on a board like that is that they do installs, and get payed, so that info is the original info, and stuff has been updated, but as you know, information if valuble, and worth money to them, ya know, *(not just them, most people)...your best bet is to find someone not affiliated with a shop, that will donate their time to help you.

I can tell you my swap was done with the information found on HT, and normal mechanic knowlege (and experience with the sR20det)...

I think it's b/c the ecu is on the opposite side of the car (compared to the JDM model) and some wires need to be lengthened and shortened (for a cleaner look).

thanks, H8....nice name by the way ** cough cough **. i dont think that it will too much of a problem for me its just that the way that HT posted everything it made the wiring sound like the worlds hardest thing so i've gotten all up tight about it i guess. oh well, thanks for the info. i think im just going to find a donor car,an engine and say f**k it and do the swap. i've already done a H22A in my friends 91' Accord as well as my jdm swap so i cant really see how its that hard. i just hate messin w/ electrical stuff for the most part.

yup....joe p has been good to me, i had my mbc spring break and he paid for me to send mine back and replace it, very happy with it.
