ok, so my 85 720 z24 still has a stock carb. The previous owner for some reason routed a wire from both ign coils around to the carb. I recently found a good wiring harness, so I put the wiring back to factory....only the mystery wire did not fit in anywhere. I reconnected it where it was(i think), and the carb makes a ticking noise with the key on. Truck runs real rough with this wire connected, truck runs ok with off. Am I missing something, or was this possibly a means to get a hot wire where it wasn't supposed to be?
