right now, a shop working on my car, MTR, is telling me that by moving the ignitor and some other wires basically caused the car to blow the ignitor chip and wiring to the ECU, and they also changed the coil pak, but basically, they said that from moving where we put the ignitor chip and wiring that it happend to rest on the exhaust and the heat melted the wiring going to the ECU basically causing the car to completely shut down. they have replaced the ignitor chip and all wiring to the ECU and coil pak but now they plan on trying to change the ecu to see if that fixes the problem, but i was wondering if neone has any other ideas....

Sounds to me like they grounded a few hot wires and it nuked it... ECUs aren't bullet-proof.

Plug in another ECU and try it out.
