I'm trying to figure out the wiring for an S13 blacktop into a 1995 240SX SE. I've been following the guide at:

http://sr20.hybrids.jp/install....html

and I've pretty much followed it word for word. As far as ABS and CC are concerned I just left them connected to the plug described as "F3-S14 KA" in the above guide as they were when I took the whole harness out of my car. Basically, here's my problem. Now that I'm all said and done with that guide, I've been having my doubts as far as how to connect it all to the rest of the SR wiring harness. If you look at the guide, it requires that you use a couple of the power plugs off of the SR harness called "F10-S13 SR Power Plug" and "F8-S13 SR Power Plug" in the guide. So, I just cut those plugs off of the harness and wired them up as the guide directed. I figured that later, I just plug them back into the harness and everything is good to go. The end of the plugs that I cut are the ends that would go up into one of the SR fuse boxes (which my SR came with two) so the harness that I made would still connects to the SR main harness. However, I was looking at the Heavy-Throttle website (where I got my engine) install FAQ wiring section and it talks about connecting plugs F10 and F8 to the battery area and changing some wires around. Of course the guide is in reference to an S13 chassis but if this is true, then the wiring harness that I made with the guide wouldn't connect to the rest of the wiring harness because the plugs would be used in the battery area. Also, the section on Heavy-Throttle's site that has the instrument panel wiring doesn't really match up either. So, after this longer than long message, can anyone give me some help with this S13 SR to S14 chassis wiring?

Thanks,Chad

Should contact HT, they do the wiring harness conversion. Even if your cheap, just try to talk to them via email or phone and get help from them.

PS. Why are you using the HT S13 guide for an S13>S14 swap, they dont have much in common and will only confuse you, talk to the guys at HT, or if you get really lost, just pay them to do your harness.

What plugs did you cut off? Cause I followed the guide too and I finished my wiring in like an hour. I cut the female end plugs by the SR S13 fuse box, then I plugged it into the F8 and F10 on the SR ECU harness, and connect the F2, F3 wires to the end of the female plugs that I just cut off of the S13 fuse box.

If you didn't do what I did, you just wired to the male ends of the S13 ECU harness, which you have the male ends not plugged into anything. Either way, it should work, but my way looks better.

1. Now, I have tons of extra wires, which I think will not be hooked up, right?

2. On the SR engine harness, by the alternator, I see a black cap, which I think goes in to the alternator, right? If so, under my KA fuse box, there is a red cap and I think goes into the alternator, so now i have 2 connections to the alternator? What do I do?

Rather than that, my car should start up fine right? Are you having the same experience as me?

I did it the same way that you did it with plugs F8 & F10. My question is really just how do I wire the plugs by the battery terminal? There are three plugs on the SR harness that go up to the battery terminal connector (I don't know the plug names). Two of them connect to one of the two SR fuse boxes and the 3rd was just cut leaving both the male and female connectors in tact. On the KA harness, there are only two plugs going up to the battery terminal connector. I was just going to wire that 3rd plug I mentioned above (which has about 8 wires) to the two KA fuse box connectors (together totaling 11 wires) but I'm not sure if that's right. Really that's all I need help with.

those 3 plugs are the end of the SR that connect to hte fuse box. If you have the fuse box, cut the 2 female ends off and plug it into the end of the SR harness. And wire the F3 and whatever to the female ends instead of the male end. I believe they are F8 and F10 plugs, red and grey. Look for the pin out at the sr20hybrid to find out the exact plug.

If you don't have the female ends of the fusebox plugs, then you gotta hardwire it...like wire it straight from the end of the sr harness male plugs. It would look ugly but will be fine. Let me know if you need help.

All right. I've already wired F3 and that other plug to F8 and F10. That went fine and I'm done with that according to that guide I linked to above. I cut plugs F10 and F8 off of one of the two SR fuse boxes. The other fuse box is the one that sits right next to the battery in the stock location. So I cut F8 and F10 off of the first fuse box and wired them up and now I'm just trying to figure out how to wire the plugs by the other fuse box and the battery terminal to my existing KA fuse box. As I said before, there are two plugs that go into the KA fuse box and on the SR harness there are three plugs, 2 that go into the remaining SR fuse box and one that was just cut (has about 8 wires). This is what I'm trying to wire. The F3, F8, F10, and instrument cluster plug wiring is done.

I don't htink you use those. You shouldn't be touching your fuse box at all. If something plugs in it, plug it in, otherwise, leave it alone. That's what I was told by Mack at Mckinney Motorsports. Nice guy.
