Car: driving my I30

Post

I had a '93 Nissan Altima which i fitted with some new speakers and new radio. I also hooked up a Sony 1000 peak wattage (i know RMS is all that matters but 1000 sounds better) amplifier to 2 12 inch Alpine type E subwoofers. They sounded and looked great. I just bought a '96 Infiniti I30 (BIG upgrade from the altima with leather seats..ahhhh...comfort) and I'm trying to figure out how to wire the amplifier out of the BOSE system...unfortunately, I've heard from many places that it is a real pain to work with the BOSE system. If anyone has any tips on how to install the amp or if someone could tell me where to go for some information it would be greatly appreciated!!!

2 ways to do it:

1) Tap into the line-level (low voltage) rear speaker wires, and cap the wires to the sub to block higher frequencies. This is the "ghetto" way.

2) High-end audio shops sell an adapter for the back of your Bose head unit to run a sub. Check your local big-dollar audio shop.
