Can you upload some pics? THXvqpwrd wrote:I ran my power wire through the rubber grommet that the bundle of wires go inside the cabin on the driver's side. I also tapped the fuse for the 12v dc outlet for my remote. If you want some pics just let me know.
What back/white wire are you referring to? I don't believe there is a wire you can tap into for remote turn on in the trunk for the non Bose system. You could always run a relay from the ACC wire as well, and run a wire from the relay to the trunk. This is probably your safest bet.LittleMan wrote:I found out that the purple/yellow is the remote but I don't want to take a part my HU. Is there a remote wire I can tap in the trunk??? and what the hell is this black and white wire ??? it plugs into nothing
8 gauge wire? that's kind of small isn't it? what's the RMS wattage of your system?vqpwrd wrote:Here's the pix of my install of how I ran and mounted everything and I'm using 8 ga. power wire.
someone sells this box specifically for the A/C on ebay!iammai wrote:vqpwrd
Did you make that box or is it a box produced for the coupe?
Thanks in advance
Looks like the RF punch 325.2 which would put him under 400 RMS. Just a quick glance at Crutchfield shows they recommend 8 AWG power/ground, but it will accept up to 4 AWG. Not sure why 8 would be recommended if 4 is possible, but whatever. I've never run anything smaller than 4 AWG in any of my cars (and that includes my first setup of 2 crappy 12s getting like 175 RMS each).rjdmmfl1 wrote:

I want to install an AMP, the best way I saw to get a power line inside was from the glove box http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread/325092 . I have a RCA converter already so all I need now is a remote wire for the amp. I found out that the purple/yellow is the remote but I don't want to take a part my HU. Is there a remote wire I can tap in the trunk??? and what the hell is this black and white wire ??? it plugs into nothing
