Hi I'm new here... so plesae feel free to offer corrections and directions...



I swapped a jdm sr20det s14 95-96 (RED WC/studs on the head) into a 1969 Datsun 2000 Fairlady Roadster.

I custom built a dash to fit the jdm zenki gauge cluster .. the km/h cluster came from japan with the 3 plugs and the bit of harness where the 3 come into 1 ....


my main goal in wiring the car to start on 1 st try,.. is for the entire jdm stock gauge cluster to work as it did in an orignal car. I also want to intergrate a pushbutton keyless start/security.to by pass the old key ignition switching in the collum....(push start/havent choosen one yet)

I need help...i think im looking for stock JDM s14 underdash harness, so i can just rewire back in place as was in the orignal japanise car???

Should I be able to just wire the same stuff back togther /cutting in my stero and ignition / ilimuniation controls... right???

the engine came complete with harness internal plug, red WC ECU, 5sp Trans, turbo, igniters, map s. big black covered fuse box. the entire engine harness is complete. from what i can find its a (95-96)

the only cut in the harness I can see is the large wrapped bundle comming from the bottom corner of the big black covered plastic fuse box. Where does this go to ?

let me know what you guys think. should i be able to fine a stock underdash harness from a japanese s14 ?

can a s13 american one work ?

or is this going to be harder than trying to wire the 3plugs from hte guages directly to the interior plug ? im a first timer with the sr swap any help would be great thanks....Roulette77

I must say, you picked one hell of a project for your first sr swap. Its going to be easier to wire everything up yourself. I would start by disecting your harness, get the ecu pin out and label every single wire you have and where it goes to as far as the dash harness i.would write that up directly to where those wires need to go. And to say ” I think” I have a 95-96 sr harness......there are like 4 different harnesses with different pinouts..... Id start by properly identifying your sr and harness. Next would be to download the fsm and wiring layout that matches your engine.

need some help here . searched everywhere. looked up FSM
im not getting power to the int. fuse/relay box :gotme

sr20det swap, s14 red wc to a 69 datsunfairlady2000,
jdm main harness with oG jdm gge stock cluster stock ECU,

JDMstock s14 Main harness: removed de-pinned for almost everything { ac,wipers, seats,climate,smart cont. unit, abs,doors mirrors, SMJ }
so both fuse boxes de-boxed and guts are side by in the dash.

I found this pic online... s14 int. harness power supply the guys was having the same power supply to int. fuse box issues i have.

from the eng fuse box i have one white/blue wire that was cut 75 amp fused and the interior fuse box has bare copper connections on the back ...where a plug would go.

i only have one big wire, white wire with the blue stripe coming from the big fuse box (75 amp fused). it looks like the picture shows it plugs into my fuse box . but the Plug has 2 wires ???? help i only have one wire that was cut off, the second wire in the plug looks to have a blue stripe too, do i just double the 75 amp leg and hook to both of the big connections ???

I also the quad plug in the picture...
any body know what the wires are for?
i have the smaller white wire with green stripe to be hooked up too, (45 amp from big fuse box ), i see this would lead to the quad plug shown in the picture,

just an update , 2 main wires i was questioning are just a double power both lead back to the same supply. the 4 wires in the quad plug are all coming from ignition 30 amp fuse supplying power to the relays turning all the ignition features on as well as lighting up a section of the fuse panel. once I got this figured out the car started first try and ran smooth. im hitting the 3500 maf rev limiter so something still amiss but almost ready to drive this car for the first time.
