ayne know anything about the stereo supplying power for the temp controls?

I am pretty sure the climate control unit can operate regardless of whether the Bose HU (head unit) is attached. I know because I drove for months with the HU missing (I was futzing around with the HU trying to get the display to work again). They even have separate electrical harness (plugs).
