When I took all th tape and covers off the harness that was made for this s13 rb25det swap I found these three wires in with the rest but they were not connected on either end. So these three loose wires laying in my harness got me worried and I started looking around the net. They are purple/red, pale green, and yellow/blue. Are they the throttle position switch wires that go to the cluster? I just want to be sure guys. Thanks

Sounds like you are right on. They are from the Throttle Position Switch

They go to the M63 plug under the dash.

PU/R = CD21 = pin 43LG = CD14 = pin 44Y/L = CD59 = pin 47

I ended them at the M63 plug and did not connect them to anything under the dash. That is if they are even in the harness in the first place.

I don't have a pic of the RB25 M63 plug at home here, but I'm looking at it right now and don't see a light green or purple/red wire anywhere. I do see a yellow/blue, but I think that is for something else.

Have you looked at the TPS? On mine there is a single plug (S1) that doesn't have any wires coming out of the back of it. I'm assuming that is where these wires are supposed to come from. Does anyone know if that is for the A/T throttle position switch to tell the transmission to downshift when the throttle is stomped?

I wouldn't sweat it. Just pull them out of the harness or leave them in there if you aren't comfortable removing them. I don't think you need them.

Thanks Darius you always seem to be there with the answer I need so far . I guess from now on I should just give you an email when I have a question/problem hah. I looked around under the dash and at every wire and plug there is and didn't find any empty plugs or any more of the wires in these colors so that's why I wanted to make sure it wasn't anything crucial.

The plug I'm talking about is on the throttle body (throttle position sensor.

Glad I could help!

Yea that plug was definately connected so no worries there. Don't be surprised if you see me asking something in the future.
