Anyone know how to do a wire tuck on the ka?? I just want to make it look as clean as possible. If you have any pics of a wire tuck that would be awesome i could just try to see what they did.

Well if you YOU have the patience, understanding and know-how to properly sort through the main harness, you're half way there. In this shot you can see we've got all the wires out and have started to sort and label them. In the end (sorry not photos yet), we re-routed all the harness wires under the mani and around the back of the block (MAF, distrubutor, etc.) for that nice clean look.

Good luck with your project.

One of those times where just saying search doesn't help, I just tried several different terms, and got nothing in Gen, Tech, and Ka sections. Recent nor archived.

*Edit* Searching "Engine Bay" in the Ka section got me this zerothread?id=146895

Just some pics.

Awesome,Yeah i wasnt able to find anything by searching,I did come across that engine bay thread as well and looked at that some of them are really clean like the polished sohc with itbs but i dont think there are much wires for that anyways but it looks extremely clean "wireless" haha Kaleo that is awesome that you are doing that it scares me to touch the wires im afraid just touching them are going to screw them up,But i thought i saw somewhere that someone did a wire tuck with the harness in tact.Anyways if you get pics of yours being finished please post them up,Any pics welcome.

gotta agree there, there really hasn't been a write up anywhere for something like this (hint hint). i will say that it does take some ingenuity to accomplish this as you do have the potential to cause new issues should you do something dumb. nonetheless, i only forsee myself doing this if i have to swap an engine out...........

A user with the name FSU Drifter is doing a S13 hatch project and did a wire tuck on his SR, many people have already demanded a write up on the wire tuck, and he's promised to do it. His project thread is awesome too.

I think i saw the pictures of that guys before and after wire tuck they looked amazing and thats really what got me started.Cant wait for the writeup but it is alot easier to do a writeup while you are in the process so dont get your hopes up.

Nah, he just bought a jdm digi cam off of ebay haha

Past the ****s and giggles, people used to go insane over wire routing in 4th gen Civics. There were a few really good write ups on it over on Honda-Tech, that is before they flushed all the good info to make room for all the ricer questions...

It's fairly straight forward though. Cut and extend to route them how you want. Obviously not a job for the "quick to quit", or weak hearted. Plus, I can't think of one single shielded wire in the engine bay of the ol' civic. So caution is due.

If anyone does try to do this, don't be an idiot. Use good solder, and good heat shrink, and don't cut them all in the same area, otherwise you'll have a bulge where all the solder joints are, and you wont be able to loom it right.

Were also talking about this in RwdSr. We will get it sooner or later, though i do like the idea of making a new fuse "box."
