Wipers stop on high

So I have a 2006 m35x, my problem is with the wipers. When I turn them on high they lock up and stop working, I have to shut the car off and start again to get them to work again. I can't find any info anywhere on this issue please help!

HAHAHA!!! I came on here to search for this because this is the first rainy day I've had since I bought the car and mine is doing the same thing. I had a stinking suspicion it was going to be one of those systemic issues. I thought the motor was overheating, but I guess not. I'll keep searching around to try and find an answer. I've just been using the next lowest setting without issue.
