My windshield wipers keep getting stuck and when they stop you can hear the motors making loud noises like its trying to work. If I pull the blades it will usually get them going again. Its cold out, 2° F, basically no snow though. Any ideas, is the temperature making them fail? When it does snow dont wanna be stuck with no windshield wipers.

well if theres no ice or obstructions on the windshield then thats a stumper! So their working if you pull the wiper outward? my cousins Isuzu Rodeo wouldnt work at all and i replaced the relays for him and we greased up the motor and it worked fine....but your situation is a stumper

make sure theres no ice whatsoever, theres a void under the windshield cowl where the wiper arms are located, there might be a block of ice stuck down in there. also make sure the nuts that hold the exposed arms are tight.

My pathy is fine in the -40's we get in Winnipeg. Rear wiper arm is a little sluggish for the first 5 mins but once the vehicle warms up its good to go.

... so it shouldn't be due to the cold.

There isnt any ice on the winshield, whats interesting is you can hear motors making noises even when the setting is on off, when you turn them on the sounds get louder.
