Went to local O'Reilly's for a new wiper (Not even dawning on me there might be issues), pulled the "cool" covers off (almost broke one in frustration) and looks like no way an aftermarket wiper will fit. Is this true? Is it a dealer only part? My Infiniti dealer is not close. Could I get one from a Nissan dealer? Thanks in adavance

Also, the wipers are slow the first couple swipes and then fine. Some lube points or motor wearing out?

on the rain x ones they came with adapters for the different types of wiper attatchments for the different styles only thing was that the plastic ones i already had were bent and didnt work well so i had to get ones from another j30 at the junkyard that were good and use those now they work great without any problems.

Do you have the OEM wipers with the refills?

You can get the refills at any Nissan dealer or anywhere they sell Bosch refills.

The receipts from the previous owner show they purchased them from the dealer. All I can see is that the rubber blade itself is "hooked in"at the top and I can slide out the bottom. The whole wiper can only be removed with the 2 screws at the arm. So the dear sells just the rubber? The Bosch has just rubber inserts or the whole wiper. Thanks!

If you have an infiniti logo on the wiper arm, you have the OEM wipers. These only require inserts. You can get the OEM replacements at a Nissan/Infiniti dealer or Bosch replacements anywhere they're sold. Some J owners on this board have been able to find generic replacements, but they require a bit of trimming with a scissor.

The Rain X did not have the right end (O'Reilly only had one type). They did not sell single blades. The closest one was the Bosch Excel + 19 inch (The 20 inch had a different end). The end piece although looked correct did not fit easily and only one of the holes lined up. I was able to tap it on and saved the other screw. It is very snug but works. (I do not live near an Infiniti dealer and my son was taking the car and both wipers had slight tears) Obviously I saved the other blades and when I need to change them again, I will put the others back on.

As an aside, one of the new blades had a slight snag on the rubber and left a streak. I immediately went back in to get another and they gave me a bit of grief at first saying that my arm was not pushing down hard enough and then that I may have did it on installation. The manager must have seen the look of disbelief I had as I was standing there dripping wet. I just looked at them and said I have owned 48 cars and have changed my share of blades, you will replace this or you will never have my business again. Not the best time to be hassling a customer.

Hi,

On my 1993 the refill is Infiniti part #28895-3W405, and it fits both sides. I think they cost about $5.10 each.

I had to go a couple of rounds with Infiniti of Scottsdale to get two of the correct refills.

I've never ordered from these guys

http://infiniti.sewellparts.co....html

but it looks like they would have the right part.

Thanks,

Gerry

------------------------------------------Hello Joe,

I'd really appreciate it and I am sure that it will fit.

The one that I received, and installed on the passenger side worksgreat; much better than the old one that I'm still using on the driver'sside.

Thank you, Gerry

Hi Joe,

I'm sorry to report that only the drivers: 28895-3W405 fits and thatsame blade would fit both sides of the car (width and length), if I'dreceived two of them.

We bought the car from an Infiniti dealership as dealer-demo and whatlittle we haven't had done at the dealership, I've done myself. Noafter-market wiper blade assemblies have ever been installed on it. Ican e-mail you photos if you like.

The same catalog also resulted in me receiving an incorrect and latermodel year power steering belt. The one plastic bag was open when Ireceived it; is it possible that someone had slipped the wrong wiperblade refill into it?

Please investigate further to find a way to ship me another 28895-3W405wiper blade refill, return the one "bad" one to you, and I'll be a saferand happier customer.

Thank you, Gerry

If this is the case the onlyinsert that would fit would be a universal cut-to-fit. Let me know if Ineed to investigate further.Thank you,Joe Tesensky,Parts ManagerInfiniti Of Scottsdale6910 E.
